ok i lie. i actually have all these things (minus the fireplace of cos) but its sooooo cold tonight. must just be me i think. or maybe not, cos the flexi-plastic thinks its cold too. and everyone is sick. man! sucky weather.

spent my day kinda productively. sorted out more sales and all on trademe (yay for me), sent a few emails off, picked the stripper up at 2pm to go for tongue stud change and to see a tattoo artist in Takanini. yes, we drove ALL THE WAY to Takanini. it was not too bad actually. the place was clean, he was nice and not pushy. all in all, not a bad day. came home with dinner, veged on the couch and watched a couple episodes of GG (heh) and might watch a few more episodes of SATC after this. ah, such is my life..

end of an era

our staff party was on Saturday and it was one of the more fun work-related parties ive been to. we had amazing food, we had free flow wine and beer (well, not REALLLLY free flow) and Bev brought a bottle of tequila. yes.. i knowww! urgh! Sally the chef had 2 shots, and the girls had more then two i think.. and we even went to town. although the HSK’s (high school kids LOL) went to The Met and Bev passed out somewhere in Parnell/Shell Station (her cousin came to pick her up) and the goldfish and i went to Bungalow 8 to see James.. it was a good night! such a unplanned good night! i’ll definitely miss work, and the people, the food and the $$. but on to bigger and better things!

i dont normally get emotional about work or work related stuff. (who am i kidding?!?) ok. i am uber emotional type person. its not easy when work has stopped, but im not fired, but im not working cos WORK HAS CLOSED DOWN! sigh. (reason: lease will not be renewed!)

what do i do with all my free time? well, i do have some work lined up, and some $$ coming in. im even going on a holiday to South Island (again!! i know!!) but i have been working since 2002, which makes me feel odd you know, if i dont work. if i dont have some restaurant to go to every other night.

so far, i have not really looked for a job, i think i am feeling abit lazy and abit brave to not have fixed $ coming in every week. hmm.. maybe i could go back to Malaysia early? nahhhh.. or maybe i could live on ‘bread and butter’ literally? sigh.

officially, the flexi-plastic (she got a new, revised, improved name.. LOL) is also a bum. and the goldfish is a bum and guess what, the princess has been a bum since July. soooo, 4 bums. what are the odds of that. we have not really done much (although the flexi plastic is STILL a research asst and the goldfish is STILL lecturing, so i guess that means they have $$ coming in.. LOL) only princess and i are super bums. facebook stalkers and camera whores? LOL that could be our official job descriptions..

i actually have so much gossip, but in light of my new motto, i have thrown it all ‘out’. in a manner of speaking, i will write a post with a password, that way, i’ll never forget the gossip. i love gossip. i will fully admit that. but i will also admit it gets me in trouble most of the time. oooh, taking about gossip, GG is on New Zealand TV now. yay! and i think Malie is hooked. heh. she made 3 more headbands to look like GG headbands too.

sigh. so much ironing to do. photoshoot is on monday. Please God, no rain. pleaseeee! and a couple of appointments on tuesday. and off to the printers today after that the post shop. sigh. the last hurrah east work party thing is tonight. we’re all abit sad i think. but we’re gonna try finish most of the wine. heh. well, try being the keyword. and we even bought cake to celebrate

Girls (ONLY) Night Out

we had something similar last year for the goldfish’s birthday. she booked a hotel room, had drinks and nibbles, all hung out at the hotel, got ready together and went to have yummy dinner and spent the night out and about in town.

this year, we opted for a suite hotel room (at the Heritage) and had dinner in the Viaduct, and had karaoke and dancing and drinking. and of course, with drinking, there is the up-chuck/spewing/emitting fluids/ and so on moments. LOL (and it WAS NOT ONLY ME K!! )

we had a grand time. and poos to those who couldnt make it. dont worry. maybe we’ll have another one at the end of the year or something. it was not cheap i have to say. all up, each one paid about 120 (everything included) heh but it was soooo fun! plus we met up with MJ and the indon girls at Lenin Bar. which was super crowded. hmm. but the music was not bad honestly. and i danced to Closer. i knowwwwwwwwwww. man im getting old.

the one and the only..

soooo, August 6th marks the day Joshua Choo Yu Jong was born. he was annoying as a kid and he is EXACTLY (well, almost) 6 months younger then meeeee!! (you have no idea how i use to lord that over him and the fact that i was taller then him for about 6 months when we were growing up.. sigh. and then i never talked about it anymore cos now its always about how short i am now..)

ok, so ive known joshy for almost 26 years and 6 months. basically, our parents are friends and were friends from high school days. his dad was in the same high school as my dad. and bla bla bla all the way even studied in Welly together and everything. we have kept in touch and im assuming we will continue doing so. joshy is my male BFF lol

anyways, joshy turned 27 (FINALLY!!) last tuesday. i tried calling but he is a busy boy, i mean man. so i left a message on MSN AND on FB. and i texted as well. cant fault for not trying right? his wonderful girl, mabel, gave him the most amazing birthday surprise ever! when josh told me the story, it was quite funny. if you know josh, he hates not having the upper-hand. he MUST know. doesnt matter if its a small thing, he jst must! and he WILL find out somehow. trust me. its just him i think. so mabel tried her hardest. she blindfolded him, drove him round and round. even faked a traffic light stop here and there just to confuse him, cos according to him, he knows Subang like the back of his hand (LOL) rightttt. in the end, she managed to still surprise him somewhat!

so joshy. watched the Opening Ceremony, it was quite.. WOW. honestly. i wonder how much money was out into it. the brother feels sorry for the guys who are in the middle of each performance. cant see anything and will always smell the person/people around you only. lol

tomorrow (actually its today, cos its 3am now.. sigh) is our eagerly awaited GNO aka Girls Night Out. a whole bunch of us, and it keeps growing too, will be enjoying the girls ONLY night out in town. starts at 2pm at the swanky suite in a swanky hotel in town (ok, only 4 of us are getting the suite.. but others will come and ‘pat’ as well laaaaa) and enjoying the spa and sauna of the hotel, drinks, mud masques, more drinks, and dinner in the viaduct and finally some old fashion night out. well, i hope it doesnt rain and i hope the BOYS dont stalk us. lol. i heard in the grapevine, there might be a BOYS NIGHT OUT too. tsk tsk. and it includes keyboard and mouses. haha

am quite excited really. so excited i cant sleep yet. sigh.

also had the fashion clothes fitting this afternoon. quite exciting really. its amazing to see my clothes being worn. and to imagine in less then 3 weeks, it’ll be parading down a mini catwalk. argh. so much to do, so little time. but thanks to the princess and the plastic for helping out. you know i love you guys! i mean girls.

who’s the party animal?

for the past month, we have been partying non stop almost every friday AND saturday night. i know. its been quite hard core yea. it started with Brad’s so called blush bubble tea time.. and then random going out moments, and then the big big big no work all play party and finally natalie’s 21st. non stop indeed.

lots of things been happening and will continually happen. for example:

1) my restaurant will be closing down in 2 weeks. meaning i will be redundant. i will have no job. sighhhhhh

2) am doing a fashion show for UMSA end of August. quite excited really, but with all all fashion related stuff, there will sure be fireworks. cant wait!

3) bought a 250g hard drive thing. FINALLY! all the movies and series i can watch.. LOL

4) bought a garment steamer and threw out my iron.

5) my beloved chocolate phone got run over by a bus (no kidding) and i bought a new phone. another LG.. the LG viewty. im in love all over again, but like all lost loves, i miss my chocolat..

6) finished watching One Tree Hill Season 5, Cashmere Mafia Season 1, Gossip Girl Season 1 and Dirty Sexy Money Season 1.

its been a long couple of weeks. and next weekend is the GNO (Girls Night Out) that has been in plans for the past 2 weeks now. FINALLY its next week.

Happy Birthday Princess!

last last (or was it last x 3?) weekend was Looloo’s 22nd birthday. we opted to have a surprise party but dan the man told her about it or something along those lines. sooooo we just had a little BBQ and supposedly ‘chill-out’ party. rightttttttttttttttt

location? house of party, avondale, where else? the usual suspects were invited as well. and to repeat history, mitchy got the party going. in the way he knows best. he got blastedly drunk. sigh. mitchy mitchy. in his defense, i asked him to ‘get the party started’ which he did do, but i honestly did not expect him to have a SHOT after each round of charades we were playing. i am so sorry cheryl! sighhh.. yes, we had charades. Girls vs. Boys no less. it wasssssss chaotic and soooooo, absolutely sexist. like to the max. like boyfriends making fun of girlfriends and vice versa..like OMG! it was great! we had a great time. the jeering came out, the yelling, the denials, the defense and the lack of ability to think outside the box. wonderful right? lol

so, im glad you had a great birthday looloo, and im glad you like the present us girls got for you. i know it wasnt major stuff, but we knew you would like it
